Bio

A meeting of breathy arrangements and atmospheric guitars, Winnipeg pop group Glassreel is a collaboration between Kelly Beaton and Trevor Graumann. Joined by the rhythm section of Ken Phillips and Andrew Workman, the band’s music has been compared to artists such as Belle and Sebastian and Mazzy Star. Glassreel’s full-length debut Lustre was released on September 30 2022.

Lustre continues the creative momentum exemplified by Glassreel’s standalone single “Love So Hollow”, which in August 2021 was added to playlists by CBC, Exclaim! and Tinnitist. These eight songs show the band at a new creative peak. In the pre-release period, the song "Up For It" was featured on SiriusXM's The Verge, while "Compromise" premiered as Song Of The Day on Austin's KUTX. Lustre was highlighted on Bandcamp's homepage in the New And Notable section. Glassreel has shared the stage with artists such as Wintersleep, Said the Whale, Partner and Dave Monks (Tokyo Police Club).
